Hollow-Tine Aeration Treatment

The Hollow-Tine Treatment is carried out during Autumn - Spring.

Hollow-tine aeration is a procedure that punches thousands of cores from your lawn. By removing thousands of cores from your lawn, root development is stimulated, soil compaction is significantly improved, and sub-surface thatch is reduced.

These in turn help reduce the conditions for moss to thrive. The benefits of having your lawn aerated don’t stop there. This treatment will also improve drainage, help the soil maintain a healthy temperature, and allow our regular treatments to work more effectively.

In our experience, we find most lawns are in heavy clay areas.

Soil particles for clay compact much quicker than other soil types and will require aeration more frequently. We recommend having your lawn aerated as part of your annual treatment process.

Although leaving the soil cores on the lawn can be beneficial for the grass, we understand that this can sometimes be an inconvenience, so we are happy to remove and dispose of these for you, for a small fee.

Alternatively, following this treatment with the Scarification Treatment will prove most beneficial overall.
